One of the things I love most about books is the conversations they start.
You finish a novel at midnight, your heart still racing, and the first thing you want to do is tell someone about it. You close a personal development book with three pages of notes and a head full of ideas, and you need to share them before they slip away. You stumble across a recommendation that changes how you see the world, and you want to pass it forward.
That is exactly what this space is for — and that is exactly why I want to hear from you.
This Community Belongs to All of Us
When I started this blog, I had a clear vision: I did not want to build an audience. I wanted to build a community. There is a meaningful difference between the two. An audience watches. A community participates. And the most vibrant, generous, thoughtful communities I have ever been part of were built around books.
Readers are a special kind of people. They are curious by nature, empathetic by practice, and endlessly willing to consider perspectives beyond their own. If you are here, reading these words, then you are already one of them — and your voice matters in this conversation.
So do not be a stranger.
What We Would Love to Hear
Whether you have something specific in mind or simply want to connect, my inbox is always open. Here are just a few of the things I genuinely look forward to receiving:
Book Recommendations — Have you recently read something that stopped you in your tracks? A Nordic Noir thriller that kept you up past midnight?
A personal growth book that rewired how you think about your daily habits? A literary novel that made you cry on public transport? Send it my way. Some of my most treasured discoveries have come directly from readers like you, and I feature reader recommendations regularly in my Book Reviews section.
Questions About Posts — If something I wrote sparked a question, a disagreement, or a desire to dig deeper, I want to know. The best reviews are not monologues — they are the beginning of a dialogue. Whether you want to challenge my reading of a novel’s symbolism in Literary Analysis or share how a book affected your life differently than it affected mine in Reading-Impact, I am genuinely interested.
Your Reading Story — How did you fall in love with books? Was there a particular title that changed your life? A genre that surprised you? A reading habit that transformed your mornings? These stories are the heartbeat of this blog, and I would be honored to hear yours. Who knows — with your permission, your story might inspire the next piece in our Personal Growth section.
Collaboration and Media Inquiries — If you are an author, publisher, or fellow book blogger who would like to collaborate, I welcome those conversations too. I believe the literary community grows stronger when we support each other generously.
How to Reach Us
Reaching out is simple. Send your message, recommendation, or question to the email address below, and I will get back to you as quickly as I can. I read every single message personally — no automated replies, no assistants filtering your words before they reach me. Just one reader talking to another.
I know inboxes can feel like shouting into the void sometimes. I promise this one is different.
📩 Email: contact@marlenelewisbooks.com
I strive to respond to all messages within a few days. During especially busy reading seasons — yes, those exist — it may take a little longer, but your message will never go unread.
One Last Thing
If you have made it this far, then we already have something in common: we both believe that words matter. That stories matter. That the act of reaching out and saying I read this and it moved me is itself a small and beautiful form of courage.
So go ahead. Say hello. Tell me what you are reading.
I cannot wait to hear from you.
